Dominic is a third-generation Partner at Tonkin Drysdale Partners. He leads the firm’s Civil Litigation team and is widely respected for his expertise in wills and estate disputes, including complex family provision claims, contested wills, and trust litigation. Dominic is sought after to act in high-value, sensitive matters offering clients expert guidance and strategic representation.
Dominic has been appointed by the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a court-appointed defendant in family provision proceedings, reflecting his recognised expertise and professional integrity.
Dominic also maintains a broad civil litigation practice covering Employment Law, Commercial Law, Personal Injury Law, and Environment and Planning Law. He is also well regarded for his estate planning, and residential and commercial conveyancing services.
He regularly conducts matters in the Supreme Court, NSW Court of Appeal, Federal Court, District Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court (exercising its non-family law jurisdiction), as well as specialist courts and tribunals including the Fair Work Commission, Personal Injury Commission, Land and Environment Court, and NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Outside of the firm, Dominic serves as a Director of SCG Cricket and is honorary solicitor to a number of local sporting and registered clubs. He is a member of the Australian Lawyers Cricket Council and was a member of the Australian team victorious at the 2019 Lawyers Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
Dominic lives on the Central Coast with his wife Megan and their young family, where he enjoys the beaches, cafes and restaurants, or keenly supporting one of his many sporting interests.
