Leading Central Coast solicitors Tonkin Drysdale Partners (TDP) recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. Despite this long legacy, the firm has proven that it’s still young-at-heart by marking this impressive milestone with a touch of fun and humour.
Boasting one of the largest teams on the Central Coast, with experts across a range of fields including corporate, property, criminal, estates and family law, TDP has released a video to mark its 60th year, but it’s not your average corporate video.
Drawing inspiration from legendary US comedy, The Office, TDP has produced this clever and unique video to promote the firm’s achievements and community involvement, dating back to 1958.
Managing Partner Darrell Pannowitz said the idea was to tell TDP’s story in the way Australians appreciate most – with humour.
“I think people will think twice about lawyers after watching the video – it really is something different,” Mr Pannowitz said.
“We wanted to do something with a bit of character, something that demonstrates our team’s friendly and approachable attitude and above all, something that would put a smile on people’s faces.”
The video stars 19 members of the TDP team, many of whom were making their acting debuts. There are also cameo roles from Central Coast Mariners staff including previous head coach Mike Mulvey.
It was shot at various locations across the Central Coast that will be familiar to many local residents, including Ocean Beach, Duffy’s Oval, and, of course, TDP’s offices in the main street of Woy Woy.
“Taking it out of the office and into the community and streets was very important to us, because that’s where real life happens,” Mr Pannowitz said.
“We’re very proud of the level of community engagement this firm has upheld throughout our 60 years. We feel like we are part of the fabric of the Central Coast, so it’s our duty to get out there, get involved and give back.
“It’s also important to us that we make people smile, because often clients come to see us to resolve difficult situations. That all starts with a friendly, down-to-earth attitude, which is exactly what we used to make this video,” added Mr Pannowitz.
