CAN I APPEAL TO THE COURT IF MY DRIVERS LICENCE IS SUSPENDED?

Presently, in NSW, there is a right of appeal to a local court against the suspension of your driver's licence in the following circumstances: • If the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS formerly known as the RTA) suspends your licence for exceeding the speed limit by either 30 or 45 kilometres; • If the RMS suspends your Provisional (P1 or P2) licence because of a loss of demerit points; • If a police officer suspends your licence on the spot.
